We carry our life's story in our body. The experiences we have shape us; from the tonus of our muscles to the state of our nervous system, our movement patterns and the way we relate to the world.

Dealing with pain, stress or trauma we develop complex movement patterns and tension that compromise our system; negatively impacting our overall health and performance.

‍Facilitating Release® is a journey of growth, an exploration into ways to release and reprogram those habitual patterns that are holding you back - helping you find new, better ways of moving, breathing and being.

If you’re eager to gain tools to facilitate a process of release and rewiring in yourself, and begin exploring how to safely facilitate this in others; this introductory workshop is for you.


Join us for 3 hours of Facilitating Release® exploring:

- Guided Movement Explorations (self-work) and Hands-on Techniques (partner-work) to facilitate release and rewiring in yourself and others

- Using tried and tested tools from Feldenkrais®, the Ilan Lev Method & other somatic practices


Helping you to:

- Regulate your nervous system

- Improve quality and range of motion

- Ease pain, stress and physical tension

About the teachers

Benjamin Black is an Auth. Feldenkrais Practitioner & professional musician. He runs Stockholm Feldenkrais Center, a private practice in central Stockholm & Studio Soma, an online somatic movement studio. Benjamin also has a background in dance & the performing arts.

Originally from Houston, TX, Sarah Stanley is a certified Ilan Lev Method Practitioner and professional dancer.  She offers treatment and movement training through ILM Stockholm in addition to leading training for dancers, investigating the bridge between somatic exploration and creative practice.

Om Feldenkraismetodens Awareness Through Movement -

För dig som är ny kan en klass liknas vid en rörelsemeditation. Du guidas verbalt genom rörelser som uppmuntrar ett djupt parasympatiskt påslag, låter kroppen återhämta och läka och förbättrar din sensomotoriska kännedom. Som helhet stimulerar klasserna en känsla av balans och förhöjd, kroppslig närvaro.

En ökad sensorisk medvetenhet hjälper oss lyssna till våra egna behov och interna processer och lär oss agera utifrån dessa snarare än de förväntningar vår omgivning projicerar på oss.

Feldenkraismetoden är av intresse för alla som vill förbättra sin självkännedom och optimera det de gör i sin vardag, oavsett vad det är. Metoden utövas över hela världen av skådespelare, dansare, musiker, fysioterapeuter, läkare, rörmokare… you name it.

Det är på många sätt en antites till vårt process-reducerande, hyper-externaliserade samhälle.
